Migration crisis
In the «GRANITSA FM | Facts and Opinions» Telegram channel, they doubted the veracity of information from the Polish Border Guard Service about the glass of one of its service cars being broken by refugees (a photo of the consequences is attached to the post): «It is a well-known fact that drivers of Polish border guards and army are not nice! So it is quite likely that the car was damaged as a result of an accident (perhaps the condition of the hood is not shown on purpose). And knowing how much Polish soldiers like to drink a bottle, we would not be surprised if the driver was also drunk.”
The words of Polish Deputy Defense Minister P. Beyda that 63 Polish servicemen have been injured and wounded at the Polish-Belarusian border during the detention of migrants since the beginning of the year were also criticized: «And how many injured refugees, how many of their corpses were found on the Polish-Belarusian border? How many Polish law enforcers with a crippled psyche from following criminal orders are in the Polish Border Guard and army? How much money has the Polish political elite made on the migration crisis?»
At the same time, the “Nevolfovich” Telegram channel wrote that since the beginning of 2024 Polish soldiers on the border with Belarus «have fired 1609 live rounds in the direction of migrants». However, in reality, the Polish Ministry of Defense reported about 1609 signal and warning shots, not combat shots. The authors of the pro-government channel also emphasized that since 2021, «the Polish regime has already killed 27 foreigners and maimed many,» concluding: «And all this happens because of a sense of impunity. As soon as the Polish military was allowed to use weapons on refugees [appealing to the law simplifying the rules of use of weapons by soldiers and border guards – ed.] — in fact, they were given a free hand to kill people.”
In response to the information that the German authorities in January-September of this year returned to Poland under the readmission program 570 foreigners who had originally entered the EU through the Polish border, it was stated: «It is no secret that the Polish-German border is an interesting place: refugees walk there as they please, the German police, without informing the Poles, drop people off in Poland.” At the same time, it was also noted that Poles «provoked the migration crisis in Europe, earning a lot of money in the process.”
Militarization and preparation for war
The visit of Polish President A. Duda to South Korea, during which he discussed with the country’s leadership the issues of cooperation in the military sphere (including arms supplies) and visited several arms factories was reacted to in the «Belarusian Front» Telegram channel as follows: «This visit once again emphasizes Poland’s aspiration to militarization, which is accompanied by the build-up of debt obligations. Warsaw, hiding behind the «imaginary threat» from Russia and Belarus, continues to get into a debt hole, creating an unsustainable burden for the Polish people.” At the same time, Duda’s words that the weapons bought from the Koreans would be used exclusively for the country’s defense and that there were no plans to transfer them to Ukraine provoked the following reaction: «The Polish government has once again demonstrated its comparison with a predatory but not noble beast.”
They also paid attention to the information about the agreement of the USA to modernize the F-16 aircrafts of the Polish Air Force. It was noted that after its completion the Poles intend to transfer 10-15 MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine, and that «Washington is accelerating the transfer process and turning Poland into a «battering ram» against the Union State of Belarus and Russia, playing on the militaristic feelings of Warsaw.”
At the same time, the main topic of the October 22 program of ATN «Disposition» was construction of the «Eastern Shield» fortification system on the eastern border of Poland. On the one hand, it was reported about the bloated budget: «More than 2.5 billion dollars are allocated for the project! I must assume that the sum is inconclusive, as it is customary in Poland, where a whole pleiad of rulers does not think of their political life, but rather their personal life, without the eternal beating out of military contracts.” And on the other hand — about aggressive intentions: «All these alleged defensive structures are also erected when planning an attack….. It has long been known that the Eastern Shield is not for defense and will have little to do with defense. Just as it has been known for a long time that Warsaw is pulling troops to our border.”
Criticism of the Polish army
An example of criticism of the Polish armed forces was again exemplified by information about an officer of the 7th Pomeranian Brigade of territorial defense, who was accused of looting in flood-affected areas. As noted, subordinates repeatedly complained about his actions, but the command ignored the appeals, and the military police detained the military officer only after open threats against those who reported his crimes.
At the same time it was reported that Polish soldiers of the territorial defense allegedly punctured tires and soiled the car of the Podlaska Voluntary Humanitarian Aid Service. «These are true «feats» of the Polish Army, which have no boundaries. Feeling their impunity, the Polish military continues to commit atrocities, from which ordinary people suffer. This is what happens when the top believes that the main thing is not quality, but quantity,» the authors summarized.
The information occasion for propagandists was and the results of a survey in which 63% of Poles aged 25-34 expressed that they did not believe in the readiness of the Polish army to defend the country. It was noted that «the image of the Polish army in the eyes of the population has deteriorated against the background of the military’s participation in the reconstruction of the regions of the country affected by the current flooding». At the same time, negative comments of Poles from social networks were also cited. «The Polish government seems to be in its military frenzy and does not realize that there is not a drop of hope pouring over the network, but only a stream of shame,» the Nevolfovich telegram channel emphasized.
Criticizing the country’s leadership
The “BelVPO” Telegram channel noted that after the election of the new government headed by D. Tusk in 2023, people in Poland felt only negative changes: «Corruption is growing, ethical standards are falling — and this is the history of modern Poland. Corruption scandals in the government drag on from year to year, while the result does not change with the change of figures, only the speed of theft has changed.»
Also on October 24, the anniversary of the third partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in 1795, the authors of one of the pro-regime Telegram channels decided to make an excursion into Polish history and compared the situation with today: «Political intrigue, conspiracies and corruption, brought by the time when the fate of an entire state was at stake, are once again in the air. Instead of building a society based on the principles of fairness and transparency, the current ruling party allows these destructive phenomena to flourish.»
Polish actor Jaroslaw Jakimowicz, who went on a trip to Belarus and praised the country in social networks, was also given attention: «The Polish «democratic» regime did not like the fact that a man dared to tell the truth. That is why the local media promptly labeled him a traitor, as it is supposed to do in a free society. Soon there will be one more truly free Pole in our country.”
Situation of Belarusians in Poland
The news about the incident, during which a Belarusian living in Poland was attacked by his Polish neighbor, was commented as follows: «The police didn’t even start to look into it when they found out that the victim was a citizen of Belarus. Nothing unusual, just the everyday life of zmagars in Poland».
Situation of Ukrainians in Poland
The «Belarusian Front» Telegram channel addressed to the issue of discrimination against Ukrainian refugees in Poland. Among other things, it was reported that «Ukrainians are starting to be banned from visiting water parks, as it happened in Lodz, where internal ‘rules’ restrict access for refugees», and the post was illustrated with a poster of a water park with the inscription «Only for Poles». It is worth noting that this information is a fake. The scandal around the water park in Łódź took place, but it was related to the ban on children visiting it. Nevertheless, the reason for the cases of discrimination propagandists tried to explain the following: «It is worth thinking about — what if Poland and the Kiev regime could have reached an agreement with each other? Perhaps in this way Warsaw is deliberately creating unbearable conditions for refugees, encouraging them to return to Ukraine, where they will be forcibly mobilized and die ignominiously at the front».
Contradictions between Poland and Germany
References to the existence of disagreements between the two countries continued. Among the examples mentioned were contradictions in the issues of illegal migration and the introduction of border controls by the Germans, as well as the unwillingness of the German leadership to allow Poland to discuss Ukrainian President Zielenski’s «victory plan».
NATO
Escalation of the situation and preparation for war with Belarus and Russia
For example, an article on the website «Belarusian Military and Political Review» wrote that NATO military infrastructure is being strengthened along the borders of Belarus and Russia with the most modern air defense equipment. «These processes lie on the same plane with the complex of advance preparation of NATO countries for war with Russia. When Brussels, and even more so Washington, are sure that the skies over Europe are reliably protected, then the party of war will begin to realize its aggressive plans,» the authors summarized.
At the same time, the VoyenTV program «Arsenal» of October 27 noted that NATO has never been a defensive alliance and today also provokes war. «Since World War II, more than 250 military conflicts have occurred in 153 countries around the world. 80% of them are the work of the States and their Alliance partners. In fact, not a single year has passed since the advent of NATO that the bloc’s military has not taken part in an armed conflict. To save a village, it must be destroyed — that is the real motto of the NATO people,» the presenter stated. At the same time in the program of ATN «Disposition» of October 24 it was stressed that Belarus is not going to attack anyone and is preparing only for defense, but NATO is trying to drag us into the war.
Baltic bridgehead
Raising the topic of the military presence of the North Atlantic Alliance in the Baltic States, the authors of the «BelVPO» Telegram channel once again made a conclusion that «the region is being systematically prepared for the role of a NATO bridgehead». At the same time, the information about Great Britain’s commitment to deploy its contingent in Estonia, if necessary, was commented on as follows: «Each of the Baltic limitrophs [states formed after 1917 on the former territories of the Russian Empire – ed.] is «supervised» by one of the «old-timer» NATO countries. And all of them in their own directions saturate the «wards» with weapons and money, thus preparing the Baltic bridgehead for NATO».
Romanian bridgehead
Similar statements were made against the background of Norway’s delivery of a batch of F-16 fighters to the Romanian Air Force: «For NATO, the Romanians are the same as the Baltics, and they are not to be pitied either. Therefore, along with the Baltic bridgehead, NATO is preparing the southern segment of its «eastern flank». At the same time, Romanian troops are considered as a fresh portion of «cannon fodder» suitable for the Ukrainian «cauldron». Or Moldovan…?..».
Inadmissibility of Ukraine’s accession to NATO
Thus, the BelVPO Telegram channel emphasized that a number of countries oppose Ukraine’s joining the NATO bloc: the USA, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, Belgium, Slovenia and Spain. As it was noted, «these countries understand that Ukraine’s admission to NATO in the state it is in now automatically makes NATO, i.e. all its members, participants in an armed conflict with Russia».
