Poland
Migration crisis
The situation around the words of Polish Prime Minister D. Tusk about the probable cessation of granting asylum to migrants was actively covered. Subsequently, Sejm Speaker Sz.Golownia said that this was possible only if a state of emergency was introduced in the country. «But as practice shows, it is not a difficult thing for Poland to introduce a state of emergency or martial law. The scheme is simple: make a statement about «increased migration flow» — accuse Belarus of it — deny refugees asylum. Profit!«, — emphasized in the «GRANITSA FM | Facts and Opinions” Telegram channel. At the same time, the head of the Prime Minister’s Office noted that the border service would not be obliged to accept an application for asylum, if someone illegally crosses the border with the help of the Belarusian special services. This provoked the following reaction: «Polish law enforcers are quietly «diverting» refugees even now. And now, if someone from the UN or similar organizations asks a question about the legality of their actions, it will be possible to answer that «these refugees were brought by the Belarusian authorities, and in general – we have a crisis and a state of emergency here!»
At the same time, the news that Polish Ombudsman M. Wączek criticized the actions of Polish border guards at the border with Belarus and called to stop the practice of expelling migrants to the country from which they came, was commented on as follows: «The Commissioner [Ombudsman – ed.] says everything right. But the Polish border guards don’t give a damn about the Commissioner and human rights.
Deputy Interior Minister M. Duszczyk’s statement about a possible scenario of the Belarusian authorities breaking the Polish border by force and destabilizing the situation inside the country was also criticized: «This thesis always comes out of the mouths of Polish politicians, especially when the agenda turns to the regular lawlessness taking place on the Polish-Belarusian border and accusations of brutality of Polish law enforcers».
Militarization and preparation for war
The propaganda media continued to promote the narrative about the allegedly insufficient allocation of funds to combat the flooding in southern Poland: «And instead of throwing all their efforts into eliminating the consequences of the disaster, the Polish leadership continues to pour all the money into their military «desires», increasing tension near our borders».
At the same time, the testing of elements of the Eastern Shield defense barrier system, which is being built on the border with Belarus, was reported at the training ground near Orzysz : «The only question is to whom and what do they want to prove and show? Polish citizens do not need the war preparation measures carried out by Poland. They want high wages, natural products and a quiet life, not swamps, ditches, minefields and iron boxes». At the same time, it was emphasized that Poland «is creating yet another myth about ‘enemies at the borders’ in order to divert attention from economic and social problems inside the country».
The activities of the so-called «citizen patrols», which declare the aim of protecting Poles from crimes by migrants, were also raised. In particular, at one of their recent meetings, which the press managed to get to, the purchase of weapons was discussed. «While the Warsaw regime is preparing for war with an imaginary enemy, inside the country they are already unfurling guns to shoot at representatives of Polish security agencies. Doesn’t Duda see that by submitting to NATO plans, he risks getting a bullet in the back from his own?«, the authors of the «Nevolfovich» Telegram channel summarized.
The incident, in which three Polish teenagers fired an air rifle at a city bus, allegedly became possible due to «brainwashing of residents with preparations for a mythical attack.» The conclusion was as follows: «The sad thing is that such unchildish amusements will continue. After all, the main course of Polish politics is aimed at militarization, because the country’s leadership needs to recruit a 300,000-strong army of tin soldiers».
Criticism of the Polish army
Against the background of the above-mentioned tests of elements of the «Eastern Shield» fortification structures, the «Belarusian Front» Telegram channel again questioned the level of combat capability of the Polish armed forces: «Such activities are rather ostentatious in nature, creating the appearance of preparation for a conflict for which Poland is objectively not ready». At the same time, it was noted: «The actions of the Polish authorities, on the one hand, look like a desire to create an image of a powerful army ready to defend the borders and the eastern flank of NATO. However, behind this facade lie serious problems that call into question the real combat capability of the Polish Army».
At the same time, propagandists commented on the news about the detention of a serviceman and three of his accomplices for illegal possession of narcotic substances on a particularly large scale as follows: «Polish military realized that with the construction of the Eastern Shield it will soon be harder to earn money from illegal immigrants, so they decided to «switch» to drugs, but something is going wrong. Apparently, they can’t divide their share among themselves, so they turn one over to the other».
The information that four Polish soldiers were wounded and hospitalized due to an explosion of ammunition on the training ground of the Special Forces training center in Strzepce was responded to as follows: «The official version is, of course, the ‘uniforms’ are not to blame, but in the light of recent events due to squabbles in the command of the Polish Armed Forces, low morale and negligence prevail in the troops.» The main reason for this and other incidents in the Polish army also named «unsatisfactory training of the personnel, which is systematic».
Criticism of Poland’s leadership
A protest action of police unionists took place in Warsaw, during which a performance was organized with a coffin displayed in front of the Prime Minister’s Office. A pro-government Telegram channel wrote the following in this connection: «Deception and collapsed hopes are all that citizens have received from their authorities.»
The decision of the Warsaw City Hall to refuse the Independence March association to hold the traditional rally on November 11 was also criticized. It should be noted here that this is only one application out of many and the event will take place, but the reaction of propagandists was as follows: «Infopomoyki continue to shout for money that life in Poland is good for them and that freedom of speech and democracy flourish here, but it’s all just lip service…. In reality, Poles face discrimination by their own authorities».
Ukrainians in Poland
The words of Defense Minister W. Kosiniak-Kamysz that Polish society is very indignant at the sight of young people from Ukraine who drive the best cars and spend their weekends in five-star hotels were also noted. It was noted that «after Poland failed to form the so-called Ukrainian Legion, the authorities began to wonder why they needed these Ukrainians at all» and emphasized that the situation was heading towards sending all Ukrainian refugees to the front.
Belarusians in Poland
President A. Duda stated that the new migration strategy of Prime Minister D. Tusk would actually make it impossible for representatives of the Belarusian opposition to find asylum in Poland. In this connection the «Nevolfovich» Telegram channel wrote: «Duda is afraid to lose his villeins. Then who will clean the pans’ toilets and do other work unworthy of the pans? The fugitives in general will become a disenfranchised crowd, which will be afraid to even look at the pope, so as not to be thrown out of the country».
Contradictions between Poland and Ukraine
The “Belarusian Front» Telegram channel stated that the recently proposed «victory plan» for the war with Russia by Ukrainian President Zelenskyy did not meet with support among Western allies, including Poland. The latter allegedly «expresses concern due to war fatigue and the difficult situation on the front». The issue of exhumation of Polish victims of the Volyn massacre was again named as another problem of bilateral relations: «Despite the friendly rhetoric, these historical wounds remain unhealed, and Ukraine’s unwillingness to accept Polish demands on this issue becomes a stumbling block».
Once again, Poles were also accused of seeking to take over Western Ukraine: «Plans for a ‘Greater Poland’ are once again becoming relevant, and this poses additional threats to Ukrainian sovereignty.»
Contradictions between Poland and Germany
They also paid attention to the topic of the possible start of readmission procedures, as a result of which Germany would return up to 40,000 migrants to Poland. They said , «having quarreled with its western neighbor against the background of the return of border controls by Germany, the ‘hyena of Europe’ [Poland – ed.] is now seriously concerned», and «a minimum level of diplomatic relations between the two countries is coming». At the same time, it was noted that the German «burghers may remember the 39th year and will have to divide Poland again».
Poland’s dependence on the U.S.
The allegedly dependent position of Poland on the American ally has been repeatedly mentioned. For example, the authors of the Telegram channel «Belarusian Front» wrote that the country «is under the ‘manual control’ of the United States». At the same time, it was stated: «Against the background of escalation of the situation and strengthening of militaristic rhetoric, Poland under the leadership of the United States continues to deploy military activities in the neighborhood of Belarus».
NATO
Ukraine’s accession to NATO
Against the background of the appearance of Ukrainian President Zelenskyy’s «victory plan», one of the points of which is the country’s accession to NATO, the narrative about the low probability of such a development of events was actively promoted. For example, in response to the words of the North Atlantic Alliance Secretary General M. Rutte that Ukraine will become the 33rd member of the organization in the future, unless someone else dives in front of it, they wrote the following: «NATO refused to name how many such «divers» there will be in front of Ukraine.» At the same time, they also quoted the words of former advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine A. Arestovich: «Ukraine will never join NATO. Such slogans on the part of Kiev’s Western ‘partners’ are a creation of pseudo-reality».
At the same time, the website «Belarusian Military-Political Review» commented on the situation as follows: «To Zelenskyy’s demand for an immediate invitation to the alliance, NATO Gauleiter Rutte did not give a clear answer, only promising vague prospects. In addition, a number of countries in the alliance are wary of escalation, notably Germany, Hungary and Slovakia, besides Biden’s «chain dogs» – the Baltic Limitrophies and Poland. Therefore, there is no unity in NATO, which is necessary to invite Ukraine».
NATO does not believe in Ukraine’s victory
Secretary General M. Rutte’s statement that NATO’s goal is to prevent Putin from achieving what he wants in Ukraine and to provide serious assistance to the Ukrainians so that they can fight back, caused the following reaction: «NATO officials are no longer even stuttering about defeating Russia — it is impossible. The agony is aimed at making America stronger and Europe even weaker.»
In parallel, a post titled «NATO prepares society for Russia’s victory in Ukraine» drew attention to the words of the Commander-in-Chief of NATO’s Combined Armed Forces in Europe, K. Kavoli, that as a result of the end of the conflict in Ukraine, Russia’s military potential will be significantly strengthened. «Such a statement transparently hints at the recognition of the inevitable outcome of the conflict — Russia, despite Western pressure, will come out of this war with strengthened forces and clear strategic intentions,» summarized in the «Belarusian Front» Telegram channel.
Escalation and preparations for war
At a recent meeting of NATO defense ministers, a declaration was signed that from July 2025, the UK will keep its 4th Brigade on high alert in order to move it quickly to Estonia if necessary. «Such meetings … always lead to an escalation of tensions in the region. The build-up of occupying British troops in the Baltics is comparable to a pack of jackals approaching our border, waiting to rush in,» the authors of the “Nevolfovich” Telegram channel emphasized.
Having listed a number of NATO military drills currently being held in the Baltic region, the “BelVPO” Telegram channel claimed: «The alliance’s JAF [Combined Armed Forces — ed.] demonstrates exclusively aggressive intentions towards the Union State». At the same time it was noted that «NATO continues the policy of expansion and militarization of Eastern Europe, violating the guarantees given in the 1990s about non-expansion to the East», as well as «actively influences Belarus, trying to use it in its strategy against Russia».
